Hi Everyone and Welcome to Our Blog!
This project began on October 23, 2011 as a part of the 9th and 10th grade Religious Education classes at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Sts. Constantine and Helen in Richmond, VA.
The goal is simple- read 100 Bible Passages in 20 Weeks starting on October 23rd and ending on Sunday March 5th. Each week we will have 5 readings grouped together through proximity and subject. We will be using the e100reading list adapted by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America’s Youth Office. This list was inspired by the e100 movement (e stands for ESSENTIAL) in America and elsewhere, seeking to help develop scriptural reading habits in Christians everywhere.
Every Monday, we will recap the previous week’s readings. At the end of each post I will also include the readings for the next week. Please comment on the posts, share your thoughts and ideas, and encourage others to join our group. Invite friends and family to be a part of this and comment too. The more we have, the better the experience will be for everyone!
So download the e100 guide, take your Orthodox Study Bible (you can use any Bible or even the internet if you don’t have an OSB, but we strongly encourage that you purchase or borrow one) and get to reading. Good luck and remember that “through God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
